Medical insurance or other insurance options like Medicare unfortunately do not typically cover the expenses of extended senior living services. This might differ depending on the level of care you or your loved ones receive, and certain long-term care insurance plans may provide coverage. It’s important to discuss payment options with us and your insurance provider to determine the best financial option for you and your family.

Can I bring furniture with me?
We encourage personalized living spaces at Byron Manor, and we love to see our residents’ individual styles flourish. Certain decorations and items are permitted, but we want to ensure that your spaces are accessible for you and our team. We can discuss this with you during the planning process.

Can I receive transportation to appointments?
We’re able to provide transportation for our residents to and from their medical appointments and other necessities. Those in independent living are welcome to keep a vehicle on the premises.

What’s the policy on guests and visitation?
We encourage our residents to see their loved ones often! This is an important part of living a full life for many people, and we’re dedicated to supporting and fostering connections. However, depending on the level of care our residents are receiving, the policies and notice required might differ. More detail can be given during a consultation with our team to determine a plan or schedule that works for you and your loved ones.

Can I keep a car on the premises?
Residents in independent living are welcome to keep a vehicle on the grounds and leave as they please. The option to keep a vehicle on the premises may not be available for residents in other levels of care.

Is Byron Manor accessible?
Yes, we work to make sure that our residents are able to access spaces and enjoy events and meal times without worry. We offer mobility assistance for residents who may have mobility or memory issues.

Can I do my own cooking?
Residents in independent living have living spaces that are equipped with kitchens and appliances that they can use whenever they like if they want to cook their own meals. Otherwise, fresh meals are offered two times a day for independent living residents and three times a day for residents in other levels of care.

Is it okay if I have dietary restrictions?
Yes, we take great care to make sure that all the dietary restrictions and food allergies of our residents are met. Our staff will work with you to make sure that your meals are healthy, delicious, and safe for you to eat.

How do I know what level of care is right for me or my loved one?
Don’t worry–we can discuss your situation to help you determine which level of care would be the right fit. Those with more difficulty completing daily tasks may be better suited for assisted living or memory care options. At each level, we offer 24/7 support so that your needs are met and you’re supported at all times.
